Busy Weekend

I picked Jake and Joey up from school Friday afternoon in Nashville on my way back home from Montgomery Bell State Park, and we've had a busy weekend. Sherry made two pecan pies, and we cooked chicken and cheesy potato casserole for supper Friday night. We woke the boys up early Saturday morning, and we all had breakfast before walking up the street to Sarah's soccer game, which Laura and Grace joined us for. Afterward, we packed a picnic lunch and drove out to Louisville Point Park to enjoy some sunshine by the lake. Sarah and I even went swimming, though the water was pretty chilly.

After our picnic, we drove over to Laura and Stewart's place on the Little River to visit with our cousins Fran and Kinsey, who were in town from Murfreesboro. We were there for a couple of hours, and then we made our way back to our house for a spaghetti supper. Everyone reconvened for Sunday brunch at the Tomato Head restaurant in Maryville before Fran and Kinsey had to head back to Middle Tennessee. It has been a busy weekend.
