Christmas in Florida is a different experience. Because the weather stays warm and sunny in South Florida in December, the locals go all out with their Christmas decorations. We used to go swimming on Christmas Day after opening presents, and the back yard neighbors allowed us to harvest grapefruit and mangoes from their trees. I don't care for grapefruit, at least not what you buy in the stores. From the store they are too sour, but freshly picked they are sweet and wonderful.
