For the first time in her ten years of existance, we had Emma the cat shaved last week. She's had problems with hairballs in recent years, and we decided to shave her in the hope that she will injest less of her own fur. Emma is a small cat anyway, but without her fur she is tiny.
We think she now bears a striking resemblance to Dr. Evil's cat, Mr. Bigglesworth.
For comparison, I've included a photo of her (below) a day or two before we took her to the vet, where she also got her annual vaccinations. Her markings are now much less colorful.
