Schools Closed

The Maryville City School system, as well as the Alcoa and Blount County systems, are closed today because of the snow. County government follows the Maryville system, so the justice center and courthouse will be closed, too. From our deck, it looks like we have about an inch here so far. Many neighboring school systems are closed in East Tennessee as well. Even UT is opening two hours late, which is practically unheard of. Snowbird is flying in Middle Tennessee, and there is a long list of school closings there, including the Metro Nashville system, which means Jake and Joey will be sleeping in this morning.
