Sherry's mom lives on a bluff high above the
Cumberland River on the west side of Nashville off of Charlotte Avenue. When we were there the weekend before last, I climbed down the stairs to the river to take these snapshots. It was a windy day, and I could hear her flag snapping in the wind, so I took a picture of it as well.
I took this looking upstream, toward downtown.
Straight across the river is a sod farm that was inundated by the flood in May. The bank on the other side the river was underwater.
This is the view downstream from Gram's house.
