CHICAGO – If at first you don’t succeed, hire a legal team … and fight dirty.
That’s exactly what Christian did to help him finally regain the World Heavyweight Championship from Randy Orton. (PHOTOS)
During a tooth-and-nail battle that could have gone either way, Christian spit right in the face of the champion. The dastardly deed caused Orton to snap and deliver a blatant low blow to Christian. The move earned Orton an immediate disqualification. And, as per the special match stipulation put in place by Christian’s legal team, Orton lost his title.
Afterward, The Viper launched a brutal assault on the new champion, first smashing him in the head with a TV monitor, then RKO-ing him onto the announce table.
But that wasn’t enough for the furious WWE Apex Predator. As he walked away from the ring, he hesitated, then headed back to deliver one more vicious RKO to Christian onto the announce table for good measure.
Christian’s victory in Chicago was the culmination of a long, twisted road.
Although Christian captured his first World Championship in his 17-year career at Extreme Rules 2011 (PHOTOS), he lost it to Randy Orton just five days later. After that heart-breaking night, he mounted a relentless quest to regain the title. But the results were the same each time. At WWE Capitol Punishment (PHOTOS) and Over the Limit (PHOTOS), Christian failed to dethrone Orton.

Kelly Kelly def.Brie Bella

CHICAGO - From talking trash on Twitter to building a “Bella Army,” Brie Bella thought she would easily defeat Divas Champion Kelly Kelly. But The Bella Twins should know one thing by now: Do not underestimate Kelly Kelly.
After five years of scratching and clawing her way between the ropes at a chance for the title, Kelly Kelly wasn’t ready to give up the butterfly-emblazoned prize at Money in the Bank. Accompanied by Eve to help even the numbers against the menacing duo, Kelly Kelly wouldn't need assistance, as she handled business on her own within the ring.
Several near-pinfalls by Brie Bella looked to have Kelly Kelly in trouble. Ever-resilient, Kelly sacrficed her body, jumping through the ropes and slamming the Bella Twins to the arena floor. One K2 later, Kelly had defended the title - and the only ones walking out of Chicago with an "L" on their forward - something The Bella Twins boasted on Twitter Kelly Kelly would be sporting - was the the terrible twosome.
The blonde bombshell initially wrested the Divas Championship against Brie Bella on Raw: Power to the People, where the WWE Universe overwhelmingly voted for Jacksonville, Fla., native to have a title match with the conniving Brie Bella. Using an impressive moveset and sheer determination, Kelly hoisted the title to the packed crowd – a testament to her hard work.
What’s next for Divas Champion Kelly Kelly? Will the Bella Army reconvene and continue to wage war, or does another Diva wait in the wings for her opportunity at the coveted title?

World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. Christian

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Controversy always exists at the seat of Government and WWE Capitol Punishment’s World Heavyweight Title contest was no exception.

Although Randy Orton managed to retain the World Heavyweight Championship, the official did not notice that Christian’s foot was clearly underneath the ropes. While Captain Charisma tried to filibuster the official to reverse the decision, Orton vetoed the argument and found retribution by nailing Christian with the World Title. (PHOTOS)

The rivalry between Captain Charisma and World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton has become more heated than a Congressional healthcare debate in recent weeks. The Verizon Center in our nation’s capital set the stage for the most intense contest between the two Superstars yet. In their previous meetings, a great deal of mutual respect existed between the two competitors, however, this particular bout was more about proving which ring warrior is truly the more worthy champion.

When the dust settled, there was no obvious answer due to the controversy that surrounded the official’s three-count. While Randy Orton remained the World Heavyweight Champion, if judges were to score the bout based on the action and competitiveness of both Superstars, it could possibly have been a split decision. The two ring warriors battled back and forth, trading the advantage and trying to best the other’s strategy. In the end, only one thing remained constant other than the determination of both competitors - the RKO can strike in the blink of an eye.

Usually the RKO signifies the end of an opponent’s attempt to defeat WWE’s Apex Predator. Christian’s foot clearly being underneath the ropes during the official’s count asked the question of what could have been for Captain Charisma? Before the official could review his own decision, Orton hit Christian with the title, returning the favor for two separate occasions leading up to this match.

This rivalry once highlighted the mutual respect between the two Superstars; but it has since become much more personal. Finally winning the World Title after 17 years, only to lose it five days later, and failing to regain the title at WWE Over the Limit, has left Christian bitter and selfish.

That second defeat at the hands of WWE’s Apex Predator triggered Captain Charisma to renounce his Peeps and essentially become a Superstar on a mission with one primary objective – regain the World Heavyweight Championship. Orton’s goal, however, was to show Christian that whenever the two clash, The Viper will come out on top. Neither Superstar definitively completed their objectives at WWE Capitol Punishment.

Divas Champion Brie Bella def. Kelly Kelly

SEATTLE – Tens of thousands of devout followers the world over were anticipating the arrival of an apocalyptic doomsday that never arrived. No, not the Rapture. We’re talking about Kharma, the braided behemoth, whose obsession with Kelly Kelly has reached ominous levels.

During the Divas Title Match, pitting the blond beauty against current champion Brie Bella, Kharma cast a long shadow. When it became obvious that the braided behemoth would not make her presence felt, though, Brie and her twin sister, Nikki, breathed a sigh of relief. (PHOTOS)

The twins then proceeded with the underhanded tactics they’ve grown so accustomed to as of late. Just when the momentum had begun to flow to Kelly’s side, the Bellas executed Twin Magic, Nikki pulling her sister from the ring and jumping in herself. The fresh Diva quickly disposed of the blond contender and allowed her sister, Brie, to retain the butterfly emblazoned title.

In the wake of the loss, Kelly appeared devastated. Was her distress the result of her title loss, though, or are Kharma’s head games finally sinking in?

World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton def. Christian

SEATTLE – Amid the outrageous calamity of WWE Over the Limit, World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton triumphed over Christian, crushing Captain Charisma’s hopes at regaining the illustrious World Title he has worked for his entire life.

The critical match between two of SmackDown’s finest grapplers transcended the epic championship struggle that the WWE Universe was expecting. From the opening bell, it became a personal battle, fueled by the lifelong desire of two Superstars to be the absolute best. Orton, a third-generation brawler, was destined from birth to make himself part of the squared circle elite. Christian – the boy with the impossible dream – who as long as he could remember has been giving his blood, sweat and tears to become a World Champion.

And when the smoke cleared of this knockdown, drag out struggle for supremacy, it would be The Viper that would strike the loudest. After flipping himself out of the Killswitch, Orton blasted his adversary with the RKO and covered his prey for the all-important three-count.

Then, in the aftermath of the brutal match, the two great Superstars shook hands in the middle of the ring in a well-deserved moment of absolute mutual respect and unquestionable honor.

Just five days after capturing his first World Championship at Extreme Rules, Christian’s lifelong dream swiftly descended into a nightmare when The Viper pinned his shoulders to the canvas on the May 6 edition of SmackDown. One week later, the noticeably disappointed former champion took the high road, congratulating WWE’s Apex Predator on his newly acquired eighth World Title, claiming that he held no ill will toward Orton or SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long for making the match. Instead, he chose to set his sights on reclaiming his glory in a high stakes rematch at WWE Over the Limit. But, Christian’s redemption was not meant to be.

Christian – much like his victorious opponent – has always enjoyed a special bond with the WWE Universe, thanks to the unrelenting drive, courage and heart that makes him such a cunning warrior. However, now that Randy Orton has bested him on two separate occasions, will he be forced to succumb to the notion that some dreams are ultimately beyond his reach? Randy Orton def. CM Punk (Last Man Standing Match)

TAMPA - Once again, CM Punk learned that Randy Orton’s patented RKO is perhaps one of the most unpredictable and devastating maneuvers in WWE history. The WWE Universe watched in awe — and thousands of flash bulbs attempted to capture the astounding moment when The Viper took down CM Punk to pick up another victory over the leader of The New Nexus. This instance was different than the one inside the Georgia Dome at WrestleMania and on Raw the following night, because after this unbelievable RKO, Orton truly was the last man standing at Extreme Rules. (PHOTOS)

In a Last Man Standing Match, anything goes, there are no count outs and whichever Superstar does not answer the official’s 10-count loses the match. After many close calls and brutal action in and outside of the ring, CM Punk was unable to get back to his feet before the count of 10.


Before their confrontation on The Grandest Stage of Them All, Orton single-handedly and methodically took The New Nexus out of action one at a time in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania. This would ultimately even the playing field by preventing them from coming to CM Punk’s aid inside the Georgia Dome. One month later, as CM Punk’s music played inside Tampa’s St. Pete Times Forum, The New Nexus followed, ready to seek their own revenge on The Viper and ensure Punk’s victory. Facing insurmountable odds, Orton’s salvation came in the form of flickering lights and a familiar chime. Josh Mathews then delivered bad news for The Straight Edge Superstar — Raw’s Anonymous General Manager wanted to ensure there would only be one last man standing and banned Punk’s horde from ringside mere moments before the opening bell.


CM Punk’s furious reaction to this shocking announcement spoke volumes as he no doubt counted on a healthy and present New Nexus to ensure victory this time. With little time for The Second City Saint to improvise and develop a new strategy, the official called for the bell and ­it was almost as though it triggered venom to course through Orton’s body, ready to strike at his adversary.


While the battle in Tampa was certainly tremendous and ruthless, the hatred between the two competitors was enough motivation to keep them at each other’s throats in the opening bout of Extreme Rules. The arch-rivals gave each other everything they had both in and out of the ring. Both competitors unleashed a flurry of punishment on each other using kendo sticks, chairs, exposed turnbuckles and the steel steps at ringside to try and attain victory. The Viper showed his resiliency throughout the entire contest and finally, after unleashing a series of strikes with a kendo stick, Orton climbed the top turnbuckle and nailed CM Punk with a huge RKO. Unable to answer the official’s 10-count, CM Punk would fall in defeat once more to one of SmackDown’s newest additions.


In the weeks leading up to WrestleMania, as Orton dismantled The New Nexus, CM Punk began to wage a much more psychological battle with WWE’s Apex Predator. A defining moment of Punk’s reprehensible tactics came when he taunted his opponent from Orton’s tour bus, while his wife was inside. Punk used the opportunity to attack Orton’s knee, trying to gain an advantage at The Show of Shows. However, Orton’s resiliency, determination and unpredictability was heavily underestimated by The Straight Edge Superstar, both at WrestleMania and then again on Raw just 24 hours later.


The black-and-yellow adorned army even cost Orton an opportunity to challenge for the WWE Title and while it seemed that The New Nexus and their leader finally had the upper hand, The Viper once again defeated CM Punk a week later. Finally, the Second City Saint had enough and wanted to meet Orton in a Last Man Standing Match at Extreme Rules.


In what could be one of the most defining moments of his career, Orton’s jaw-dropping RKO would be enough to finally silence and keep CM Punk down for good in their most vicious encounter ever.

She says she knows they don't like her but tonight might be her last night in WWE and this is hard for her. She apologizes if she ever did anything to them. Kelly says they dislike Michelle McCool a whole lot more.

After the match, Layla and McCool start crying. Layla heads up the ramp as McCool just sits in the ring. We come back from replays and McCool is still crying as the fans sing her goodbye. Music hits and a woman starts laughing. The video starts playing and it's Kharma. The former Awesome Kong comes out to the stage as McCool looks on from the ring. Kharma marches her way to the ring. Kong stares at McCool as she slowly climbs in. McCool tries to run but Kong grabs her. Kong drops McCool with the Implant Buster and laughs like a maniac. Kong goes from laughing to looking serious as her music plays. We see the Divas backstage watching what happened on a TV. Kharma exits the ring and stares at McCool.

As if he were a master tactician, CM Punk wisely targeted Orton’s injured knee, the same knee that The Second City Savior attacked on Raw with a wrench. With his New Nexus cohorts out of the equation, the strategy seemed nothing short of brilliant. With his ultimate goal of exacting revenge on Orton for causing him to vacate the World Heavyweight Title in 2008, CM Punk wanted nothing more than to humiliate The Viper in front of more than 70,000, including his family, at The Show of Shows.

Since The New Nexus first attacked Randy Orton, both The Viper and Punk have struggled to get inside each other’s heads, trying to gain the important psychological advantage heading into Atlanta. While Orton took out each member of The New Nexus with a punt to the head, Punk took a much more personal approach, using Orton’s tour bus and his family as bait to sadistically injure The Viper’s knee. In a true showing of his resilience, Orton - barely able to walk - confronted The Straight Edge Superstar a week later, only to be left unconscious in the middle of the ring from a GTS.

However, Randy Orton is certainly one of the most tenacious Superstars in WWE history and never backs down from a fight, especially at WrestleMania. The Viper battled through his pain and proved to the world why he is WWE’s Apex Predator. Even as The Straight Edge Superstar continued to target Orton’s knee, The Viper refused to yield.

CM Punk’s targeting of The Viper’s knee may have been enough to stop a lethal punt to the head, but as Orton has shown time after time in the squared circle, an RKO can devastate an opponent in the blink of an eye. Perhaps it was CM Punk’s overconfidence, but his seemingly ingenious strategy backfired as he attempted to take Orton down with a springboard clothesline. The Viper saw an opening, a pristine opportunity to silence his opponent and leave WrestleMania victorious.

More than 70,000 flash bulbs went off as CM Punk leapt from the top rope only to be met by a memorable RKO heard across the WWE Universe, putting The Second City Savior out for good. As Orton’s hand was raised in victory, the WWE Universe witnessed The Viper at his best, on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2011 results [February 20,2011]

OAKLAND, Calif. – Vickie Guerrero came before the WWE Universe at WWE Elimination Chamber, hoping to help her boyfriend, Dolph Ziggler, get his job back. But Guerrero’s apology and explanation about why Ziggler attacked SmackDown General Manager Theodore Longfell on deaf ears, and even prompted the re-hire of Kelly Kelly! (PHOTOS)

Guerrero explained that when Ziggler attacked Long several weeks ago on SmackDown, he and his cougar of a girlfriend were experiencing tumultuous times in their relationship, causing him to lash out.

“All he was doing was showing me how much he loves me but instead he committed a crime of passion,” Guerrero said in desperation, demanding some compassion and love from the WWE Universe.

Despite her desperate begging, pleading and kissing up, Long refused to listen to Guerrero’s request to rehire him after firing him on the latest SmackDown.

“Vickie, lucky for you, I am in a hiring mood,” Long revealed.

But it wasn’t Ziggler who’d be returning at WWE Elimination Chamber. Suddenly, Kelly Kelly appeared at the Oracle Center, and made a bee-line for the ring, attacking Guerrero.

It’s wasn’t before long that Kelly Kelly’s retribution-seeking return erupted into mayhem, as Michelle McCool and Layla ran to the ring to attack the blonde bombshell. It was two against one in Lay-Cool’s favor until Trish Stratus emerged! The soon-to-be WWE Tough Enough trainer came to Kelly Kelly’s aid, but Lay-Cool fought back against the seven-time Women’s Champion. However, it was Trish who prevailed, hitting both Michelle and Layla simultaneously with Strausfaction.

With Kelly Kelly’s return, and Ziggler’s continued unemployment, what’s next for the SmackDown roster? Tune in to Friday Night SmackDown at 8/7 CT only on Syfy.

OAKLAND, Calif. – John Cena may have punched his ticket for WrestleMania, but the fare proved steep indeed.

In a grueling Elimination Chamber Match, WWE’s 2010 Superstar of the Year was forced to overcome five other Superstars – Randy Orton, John Morrison, R-Truth, King Sheamus and CM Punk – to capture his third victory inside the structure and secure his place in the main event at WrestleMania XXVII. (PHOTOS)

John Morrison and King Sheamus kicked off the contest while the remaining four combatants waited within their corner pods, each of which would open randomly every five minutes.

One by one, the Superstars were unleashed within Satan’s Structure, but not without incident. When CM Punk’s time arrived, his pod refused to open properly. As a result, The Second City Savior endured a beatdown from Randy Orton, who quickly pinned him. Before he could leave the callous coliseum, however, Raw’s anonymous GM reinstated him in the interest of fairness.

The first combatant to officially crumble was R-Truth, who succumbed to the punishment of the Irishman. A surprising second elimination came when The Viper fell to a returning and rejuvenated Punk. After inflicting a plethora of pain, The Celtic Warrior finally gave up the ghost in third. With only three Superstars remaining, The Shaman of Sexy offered a valiant effort. However, a knee injury had hobbled him, allowing Punk to pin him after a GTS.

Finally, despite having logged a 3-0 record against Cena in their last three matches, The Second City Savior failed in his final conquest. Instead, the Cenation Commander-in-Chief rose above thanks in no small part to sheer determination and a reservoir of what he called “faith.”

With the challenge of the Chamber behind him, a battered Cena can look forward to recuperating for his WrestleMania confrontation with WWE Champion The Miz, who successfully defended his title against Jerry “The King” Lawler earlier at the same pay-per-view.

For now, though, Cena can be content at not only having survived his fourth stint inside Satan’s Structure, but at having thrived under the most adverse of conditions.

WWE Royal Rumble 2011 results [January 30,2011]

BOSTON – In 1949, famed Boston composer Leonard Bernstein debuted one of his most celebrated symphonies, titled “The Age of Anxiety.” Sixty-one years later, Beantown rolled out the red carpet for a new age, a more menacing age, The Age of Awesome.  

When The Viper challenged WWE Champion The Miz for his title at the prestigious Royal Rumble pay-per-view, the contest would prove to be the crescendo to a contentious symphony played by these two – with CM Punk and The New Nexus, proving themselves maestros of mayhem in Miz’s most important title defense to date. The first movement in the months-long opus of agony came in November when “The Cleveland Screamer” cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on a vulnerable Viper, who had, moments earlier, suffered a savage beating by The Nexus.

Their next duet would take place at WWE TLC, where Orton appeared hungry to recapture sports-entertainment’s most coveted prize. Miz, however, went to dubious lengths, and managed to retain in a highly controversial victory.

Months of taunts and attacks reverberated through WWE’s Apex Predator, who seemed almost destined to wear the WWE Title for a seventh time – refusing anything less than victory. But the final decision would not lie with Orton. Instead, members of The New Nexus entered and distracted The Viper, at which point the group’s leader, CM Punk, emerged to level Orton with a GTS and drag Miz’s ragged body atop for the three-count.

With his controversial victory, WWE Champion The Miz appears to have hit a high note in his career. Meanwhile, the frustration building inside Randy Orton continues to strike a sinister chord and will undoubtedly fuel more animosity in the weeks and months ahead.

WWE TLC 2010 results [December 19,2010]

HOUSTON – Just weeks after cashing in his Money in the Bank opportunity on an injured and battle-weary Randy Orton to capture the WWE Championship, The Miz defanged The Viper once more at WWE TLC in a barbaric and doubly controversial Tables Match to retain the most coveted prize in sports-entertainment. The Era of Awesome, it seems, is far from over. (PHOTOS)

Though Orton seemed primed to humble The Awesome One with a trip through a table at WWE TLC – capturing his seventh WWE Title in the process – The Miz combated The Viper’s venom with a healthy dose of deception during this no disqualification contest. While the referee was incapacitated following a nasty tumble out of the ring, Orton powerbombed The Miz’s intervening apprentice, Alex Riley, through a table. But The Miz immediately retaliated by hitting WWE’s Apex Predator with a Skull-Crushing Finale.

The WWE Champion then positioned Orton atop the debris, enabling him to convince the still-reeling referee that Orton had already lost the match. Unfortunately for the crafty titleholder, the post-match instant replay exposed The Miz’s ruse to the official, who ordered the match to restart.

Driven by frustration following The Miz’s near-victory, Orton seemed unstoppable once the action resumed, but it was the WWE Champion’s apprentice that would again determine the bout’s outcome. While Orton stood on the apron, The Miz pushed Riley into his opponent – a split-second maneuver that sent The Viper crashing through a table set up at ringside. This time, the WWE Champion sealed an official win when the referee witnessed him putting Orton through the pine. Twice in a single evening, The Miz had stolen victories from The Viper’s grasp.

Battered and bruised after overcoming a Nexus assault to successfully defend his WWE Title against Wade Barrett on the Nov. 22 edition of Raw, Orton found himself in a rare state of shock when The Miz’s entrance music suddenly began resonating throughout Orlando’s Amway Center. After months of threatening to redeem his guaranteed WWE Title opportunity against the reigning titleholder at his most vulnerable point, The Miz finally seized his moment to become the eighth Money in the Bank winner to successfully cash in their contract and win a World Title.

WWE’s Apex Predator isn’t known for taking defeat lying down, refusing to allow the new WWE Champion to rest on his laurels in the weeks leading up to their anticipated rematch at WWE TLC. Twice preventing “The Cleveland Screamer” from putting him through a table on two consecutive Raws, Orton instead made The Miz’s apprentice and Miz-sympathetic actor (and former WCW Champion) David Arquette taste timber. The WWE Universe likely expected The Viper to do the same to the WWE Champion on the most dangerous night in sports-entertainment, but just as he has done so many times in the past, The Miz ably bent the rules to leave Houston’s Toyota Center still a champion.

Now that The Miz has again vanquished The Viper, will the most “must-see” WWE Champion in history be able to similarly fend off the new No. 1 contender to his title, his former tag team partner, John Morrison? To find out, catch al the Raw action every Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA.

MIAMI – “A little integrity is better than any career.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

For John Cena, that sentiment may prove to be his undoing. Despite the threat of termination, Cena, acting as special guest referee, refused to compromise his integrity in order to keep his job. Instead, he called the WWE Title Match straight down the middle, allowing champion Randy Orton to retain – and possibly ending his own career in the process. (PHOTOS)

For weeks, Wade Barrett, leader of The Nexus, had threatened Cena, reminding the group’s reluctant warrior that if he were to lose to The Viper, Cena would be terminated from WWE. The Legendary star, however, refused to forfeit his principles. In fact, so determined was Cena that he rejected an offer before the bout fromR-Truth, who had volunteered to hobble Orton.

Once the match got underway, though, the Englishman appeared to hold his own against The Viper, despite the fact that The Nexus was banned from ringside. As frustration and fatigue crept in, however, Barrett focused his fury on Cena. When the Englishman shoved the special guest referee, Cena shoved back. Orton recognized the opportunity and quickly leveled the Nexus leader with an RKO. Although Cena appeared hesitant, fully aware of the consequences, he nonetheless remained true to his word, counting to three and raising Orton’s hand in victory.

In the wake of his win, the WWE Champion took a rare moment to acknowledge the selfless act of his longtime rival. As one man’s career continues to flourish, the other man’s may well be drawing to a close. And though Cena may no longer be a Superstar, he will always be a champion in the hearts of the WWE Universe.

Thoughts: Honestly I felt bad on how the match ended,since what I wanted to happen is that Randy retains but John doesn't get fired.For short,there's a twist.I don't think that John Cena, the face of World Wrestling Entertainment will be fired.Some people speculated that he might take time first,and then return at the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania.Or he's going to continue to film his latest WWE movie, "Blood Brothers".Don't lose hope,CeNation! :)  He'll be back.

MINNEAPOLIS - Wade Barrett had taken out the ultimate insurance policy – or so he thought. To further ensure a victory, the Englishman dropped a bombshell prior to the bout: If he were to lose the match, Cena would be fired from WWE. The ultimatum staggered Cena, who had captured the WWE Tag Team Titles with David Otunga earlier in the evening. Could Cena really further the ambitions of such a loathsome individual? And if he refused, could he possibly cope with being terminated from the company he loves, forbidden from competing in a WWE ring?

An opportunity would eventually reveal itself in the glimmer of a snake’s eye. Midway through the match, the referee was knocked unconscious. Taking advantage, the remaining three members of Nexus rushed the ring to attack Orton. They were quickly chased off by Cena, who explained that he was trying to save Barrett from being disqualified. As the contest progressed and fatigue washed over Barrett, Orton prepared to unleash an RKO. Just as he coiled himself, however, Cena recognized his opening.

Cena, who had been forced to join Nexus after losing at Hell in a Cell, pushed Orton aside and hoisted Barrett atop his shoulders. For a moment, it appeared as if Cena had suffered enough abuse and was going to avenge himself with an Attitude Adjustment. When the Englishman came crashing to the canvas, however, Cena’s brilliant method suddenly revealed itself.

He had ensured Barrett’s victory by disqualification – and saved his career in the process. Although the Englishman had officially prevailed, a title cannot change hands due to a disqualification. Perhaps The Viper should have been relieved, but there’s no reasoning with a furious snake. Instead, Orton leveled both Barrett and his unwilling lackey with a poetic pair of RKOs.

The outcome ensures that Orton remains WWE Champion, that Cena will not be terminated from WWE and that Barrett will be more determined than ever to make his reluctant disciple’s life a living hell.

DALLAS — Demonstrating the traits of a true Apex Predator at WWE Hell in a Cell, WWE Champion Randy Orton leveraged Charles Darwin’s scientific theory of natural selection to defeat Sheamus, a ferocious specimen in his own right. Randy Orton is already a dangerous competitor. Simply ask the often long-winded Chris Jericho … though you’ll have to wait for him to recover from the WWE Champion’s debilitating punt one week ago. Allow The Viper to coil inside Hell itself and you’re looking at a 10th circle of the fiery Inferno.

Pairing more traditional methods of attack with steel-reinforced brutality, the two WWE Title minded men unleashed their most vile assaults against one another to date. The WWE Champion’s inner mechanisms for survival and evolution (not unlike Orton’s years-past affiliation with Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista) seemed to only compel him to amplify the pain he inflicted upon his Irish-born challenger.

By contrast, in his first-ever Hell in a Cell Match, Sheamus appeared hideously comfortable within its four sides, which even those he used as a weapon against Orton.

Steel chairs, steel stairs, steel walls. Plus, two Brogue kicks. The Celtic Warrior fought unrelentingly for the chance to once more seize the golden prize. But the lightning fast strike of the serpentine Superstar – an RKO atop the ring steps – was all it took to excise the challenge before him.

Possessing the experience of two previous Hell in a Cell clashes, Orton carried what ultimately proved to be a critical advantage in Dallas’ American Airlines Center. Concluding a hellacious joust, WWE’s Apex Predator emerged from the Devil’s Playground in victory over Sheamus – a “structured” settlement of their past title encounters, which each ended inconclusively.

Now, the WWE Title-bearing serpent slithers forth from the confines of Hell toward his own form of heavenly bliss: A wealth of future challengers, who, to a creature built for predation, are nothing more than his next prey.
