We're meeting a couple of friends from North Carolina this weekend at a farm they own in Cullowhee, North Carolina, which is a bit over two hours from here. I've spent a lot of time in the mountains of North Carolina, but I can't say I've ever visited Cullowhee. Their place is on a river that they compared in size to the Oconaluftee River as it flows through Cherokee, North Carolina. With the heat we've had this week, some cold mountain water sounds pretty good to me.
